A 14-day tourist visa will not cover a month-long family visit, so match the duration to your real dates. Multiple-entry versions get slightly more scrutiny of your travel history and bank balance. The 2025 ICP updates also added niche visit categories for AI specialists, entertainment, events, and maritime tourism. They require an invitation or booking from a UAE-based entity, so most travelers will stick with the standard tourist visas.
Is the 5-year multiple-entry tourist visa worth it for Pakistanis?
For frequent visitors, yes. It is self-sponsored, so no UAE resident or company has to vouch for you. It typically allows stays of up to 90 days per visit, and you can usually extend once for another 90 days. The core requirements are a minimum bank balance maintained over the preceding six months, valid health insurance, and a return ticket. Business owners and people who visit family several times a year benefit most.
What must every Pakistani applicant upload?
Passport scan: a color scan of the bio page, valid for at least six months beyond travel, with two blank pages. The machine-readable zone must be clear, with no cut-off edges and no glare.
Photograph: recent, pure white background, 4.3 cm wide by 5.5 cm tall, with no shadows or retouching.
Application form: every field checked against your passport. A single typo in your name or passport number stalls processing.

What is the under-45 bank statement rule?
This is the biggest new hurdle. Under the ICP’s 2026 circular, Pakistani applicants under 45 must submit a stamped bank statement showing the required minimum balance, maintained consistently over the last three months. A statement that dips below the threshold, even for one day, is rejected. The balance must also be there on the day the statement is issued. One applicant was refused twice with a three-day-old statement and approved within 48 hours once he submitted a fresh one. Submit a statement issued within the last week, never a screenshot, and never a last-minute lump-sum deposit. Why must a family fly together on one PNR?
Family visa holders must enter the UAE on the same flight under a single PNR, one booking reference that ties every passenger to the same itinerary. The rule is enforced at system level. If the father lands on Monday and the children on Tuesday, the whole family’s entry can be refused. Every child also needs a separate visa, including infants. If separate travel becomes unavoidable, contact GDRFA Dubai or your licensed agent before travel to ask for an exception.
Which application channel suits a Pakistani traveler?

What are the seven rejection triggers, and how do you fix each one?
Incomplete or incorrect documents. A blurry scan, a missing middle name, or a screenshot instead of a stamped PDF. Have a second person check the file.

Do not resubmit the same file. Every refusal has a specific reason, such as an unclear passport scan, a statement that misses the balance rule, or a sponsor whose salary is below the threshold. Fix that exact issue and then reapply. There is no blanket ban on Pakistani nationals; the real barrier is usually incomplete documentation, not nationality. Social media rumors about sudden bans are almost always false, so verify rules on the ICP website or the GDRFA Dubai portal.
